USAA Retirement Healthcare Options

HVS Financial partnered with USAA to explore a digital tool that would help members approaching age 65 understand their expected healthcare costs in retirement. The goal was to allow users to enter minimal personal information and instantly receive clear, personalized cost estimates for Medicare-related health insurance options and out-of-pocket expenses.
As the Lead Designer, I defined the UI, visual language, interaction patterns, and early MVP experience that communicated complex actuarial data in a simple, supportive, and trust-building way — ensuring alignment with USAA’s brand, values, and accessibility guidelines.
